The Charn Chai Muay Thai gym is owned and operated by a fighter named Monkoldej Sitthepitak, who is better known by his nickname of “Bee”. Bee was a top ranked fighter at both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern during his fight career. Despite being ranked in the #1 position at both stadiums when he was 21 years old, he was never given a title fight.

Bee has racked up over 300 fights during his fight days and his career outside the ring, working as a trainer, is quite impressive as well. He’s worked at Bulldog gym in Sydney, Australia and at Mikes Gym where he helped train fighters such as Melvin Manhoef, Artur Kyshenko and Badr Hari.

The gym is located in Pai, which is approximately 100km from Chiang Mai. Keep in mind though that there are a lot of windy roads on the way to Pai from Chiang Mai so it may take a bit longer to get there than expected. Here is a write up on Pai from the Charn Chai website.

The cost of living is very low in Pai and there are various accommodation options near the camp. Here is a list of the available rooms along with the prices.
